Here the setting sun throws the last rays of light across the Preston to Lancaster Canal, near to my home. The jet crossing the sky adds to the overall view. I could have altered the image to boost the shadow detail and the sky, but I felt that it looked fine as it was. I deliberately kept the sun at the centre, choosing to place the tree using the rule of thirds, and it's reflection in the water. This was taken at the end of quiet stroll along the canal with my family. A peaceful end to the day.

What a lovely site.. and some wonderful pictures on it. I know Preston a little bit but your photos show it in a different light than usual.
