Damselflies



The common Ischnura, or blue-tailed damselfly, are numerous across the whole of Britain. I followed a male across the grasses until he alighted on a frond of grass, and then (the urge took him...) he discovered a female and before too long, I had the second photo. A pleasant day in the country with some rewarding shots.

Here in the states we refer to them as Dragonflies.
